They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest.” Then, Stuart Williams (the local wildlife ‘expert’) suggests that perhaps the lions mistook the 12 year old girl’s cries for a lion cub. Which seems awfully silly, considering that lions are perfectly capable of telling the apart the gazelles they eat from their own cubs, aren’t they? Reblogging again.  They knew what they were doing. They have seen abuse like the one the poor girl written about in the article suffered for many years. They have adapted to their lands being poisoned and ravaged by war and “progress” and I’m sure they have also adapted to what humans do to one another and have in their own way learned what is right and what is wrong. Besides, they don’t eat or kill unless hungry or threatened and this little girl was no threat to them. Another great example of why the lion is the king of the fucking jungle!
